They're stupid, but it's okay for you to like stupid things.Īnonymous Thu Feb 13 22:16:43 2014 No.1405093 I think they're not anything special in terms of game design because they don't give me that sense of jeopardy you say these stages make you feel, but it's okay that you like them so much. I think it's kind of sad that there are people older than ten who find them engaging and challenging, but I'm not really here to judge what you find fun. These stages were not easy on your first try but the skill ceiling was low enough to master them after two or three. But then there was the casino-style bonus stage in the same game with not one but TWO results that drained your damn rings!Īnonymous Thu Feb 13 22:15:12 2014 No.1405089 At least Blue Spheres had the decency to be extremely easy to keep it from being both awful and frustrating, I guess. I honestly can't think of a single minigame from Sonic, Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 that I enjoyed. ![]() >1405061 Eeeh, really? I hated these levels, and only bothered to get Hyper Sonic once or twice.Īnonymous Thu Feb 13 22:02:27 2014 No.1405072īlue Sphere is one of those things Sega should have capitalized on in this mobile game boom.Īnonymous Thu Feb 13 22:09:56 2014 No.1405080Īnonymous Thu Feb 13 22:14:27 2014 No.1405084 It's in glorious HD, it comes with all the original levels from the Genesis version with the codes to enter in, and it includes a level editor. Did you ever plug Sonic 1 into Sonic and Knuckles, and then hit ABC simultaneously? Did you play Get Blue Spheres son? Did you know that there are over 128 million stages to explore, each with a corresponding code? Why did you put your Genesis away, when there was still so much to do? Well it turns out someone out there properly appreciated the greatness of "Get Blue Spheres" and is making a new version of it. Suddenly you have an incredibly challenging yet relaxing arcade style game. Forget about the need to get a Chaos Emerald, and focus on the task of getting those spheres. Well let's talk "Get Blue Spheres" on it's own. Everybody who played Sonic 3/ Sonic and Knuckles, you remember these fuckers, right? Remember the tension of trying to get all the chaos emeralds? Narrowly dodging red spheres? searching desperately for the last blue sphere as the pace gets faster and faster? You know the tension I'm talking about.
